Pride in the Park

About Pride in the Park

Pride in the Park began in 2018.  It is organised by a group of staff volunteers and the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Cheshire East Council.

The first event took place in the beautiful grounds of Tatton Park in Knutsford and attracted around 700 visitors.

In 2019 Pride in the Park moved to Queens Park in Crewe where around 5,000 visitors enjoyed the hottest day of the year whilst dancing along to ‘Confide in Kylie’.

2020 should have seen the event return to Queens Park where we would have been  welcoming the LGBT+ community to a larger and better event featuring rising stars Bang Bang Romeo.  Unfortunately Covid-19 put a stop to the 2020 live event.  Instead there will be a virtual Pride to be held on 25 July 2020.

The event is always free and open to all regardless of sexuality or gender.  It is important to us that Pride in the Park is a whole community event that supports our LGBT+ community in Cheshire East.

We aim to make it as accessible as possible and the mobile changing places toilet unit, supplied by Mobiloo will always be available at the live events.  There will also be a reserved area close to the stage for our disabled visitors and their carers.

We are looking forward to hosting the live event again on 19th June 2021.
